Love the fit, they are snug but not too tight or uncomfortable so I feel confident that I will be protected. I have purchased 3 pairs now and they are a life saver.

Love these underwear! They are comfortable to wear, easy to care for and definitely protect me during my period.

Buying another pair. So comfortable. I didn't expect to be so impressed with them. I was hesitant to try. Definitely nice to have the extra security/protection.

courtney w.

This is my 3rd month using the period underwear and I'm never switching back. Thankfully, no more accidents have occurred and sometimes I forget I'm on my period. Thank you! forever will recommend.

I own probably every brand of period panties out there, even obscure amazon deep dive brands. These are, hands down, the BEST ones I own. No other brand I have wicks away the moisture like these. They absorb a lot more than any other brand I have, also.

jennifer w.

I didn’t trust it at first but now I’m sold. My period lasts 4 days with 2 days being so heavy I wear a tampon AND a pad. These are good as a back up if I don’t have a pad on me or wear w no tampon on my first or last day. Love them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the best way to switch to Period Underwear?
Start by wearing your period underwear on your lighter days or as a replacement for your liner. Some people use the underwear with pads for extra protection while sleeping.

Can this be used for incontinence?
Cora's Period Underwear was designed specifically for periods and has not been tested for use with light bladder leaks or incontinence. We are considering it for incontinence in the future.

Do they shrink?
If cared for as directed, your underwear will not shrink. We suggest rinsing in cold water, machine washing on the cold/delicate cycle, and line drying or laying flat.

Can I sleep in my period underwear?
You can wear our Period Underwear overnight to protect against leaks. The absorbent gusset measures 8" from front to back to provide coverage that is best for lighter days or for use with a tampon, cup, or pad.

How does the absorbent part work?
Each pair of underwear has a “gusset” with a four-layer absorbent core designed to pull up to three tampons’ worth of liquid away from the body and create secure leak protection. On a pair of medium-sized period underwear, this gusset spans the panel of fabric between the legs and approximately 2.5” additional inches up the back. It's made from 91% polyester and 9% elastane. It's similar to fleece and highly absorbent. The inside piece of our gusset is made from 91% polyester and 9% elastane.

What fabric is your Period Underwear made of?
Body: 95% cotton, 5% elastane
Gusset: 89% polyester, 11% elastane
Absorbent Lining: 91% polyester, 9% elastane with TPE (leak-resistant layer)

Our materials are certified by OEKO-TEX®, an international association that ensures a high-level of safety from harmful substances in textile products.

How much blood does your Period Underwear absorb?
Our Period Underwear absorbs about 25 mL (roughly the amount held by 3-4 regular tampons) of menstrual fluid. However, absorption is affected by many things, including your menstrual flow, position (sitting, standing, moving) and activity.

Every body deserves comfort

We believe everyone should have access to period care—full stop. So, with each Cora purchase, we provide period products and body literacy resources to people who might otherwise go without.
